Remarks I was driving into Ashland from Shelby on 96 when not only myself but my nephew witnessed the light in the sky to our right. It happened very quickly. The best way to describe the appearance was a falling star. It didn't appear to be large from our standpoint but it was bright white. It did fall at a slight angle from right to left but was heading almost straight down. We saw it approach land but lost sight of it just short of the horizon. The time frame I picked is an estimate, it may have been a little earlier or a little later than 8:30pm EST. I didn't think to look at my clock. I know we arrived home in Ashland before 9pm. I posted the sighting to my Facebook page to see if anyone else in the area saw it but so far no one has commented on seeing that same anomaly in the sky. Hope this helps!
