| Remarks | reposting w/corrected angle of flight (upper left->lower right). Time uncertain within few minutes. Place uncertain, but driving E along I-72 toward Champaign. First seen near Jupiter (alt 9, az 70), disappeared above horizon (not hidden, the horizon was unobscured, just stopped glowing). Brightness of green core seemed nearly constant throughout. Quite slow, ~5 sec for ~20 degrees of flight. Emitted several groups of fast-fading orange sparks (is that fragmentation? I can't find a definition of it). |
