| Remarks | Watching all night for meteors. This was the only one I witnessed. It did not appear to "shoot" through the sky, instead, it appeared as if it was "falling" out of the sky at a slower speed. It grew bigger and brighter and greener in color the further it shot down toward the horizon. The tail remained green as the "meteor end" grew brighter and displayed a spec of a pinkish/purple color surrounded by green before it "fizzled out". The Aurora Borealis was visible as far south as Michigan after large solar flare this night. |
