| Remarks | Saw it as i was approaching french door to upper deck. Totally missed start of the meteor bc of trees, door frame and obviously being inside. Occurred during late twilight, But color was a vivid light green at core contrasting beautifully with orange twilight near NW horizon. No fragments (IOW just one core was visible) but in last 10 deg of path, light emission stopped for a moment and it flashed at the end.... approx last 5 deg of path. Light ceassed about 4 deg above horizon. I have a clear view to horizon at that spot. Also, the object was moving slowly, like the speed of a Taurid fireball, maybe slower and a sharp contrast in speed to the handful of Orionids that I saw early this AM. |
