| Remarks | It was still fairly light out and I could see the sky clearly. I was heading south (towards Byron), it came out of the sky right in front of me, streaking downward to the east at about a 45 degree angle. It looked quite large to me (my first thought it was a large plane falling/crashing out of the sky) and was very bright against the blue sky. About a minute later I was waiting at the railroad tracks and I opened my truck window - I smelled strong burning smell in the air. Never saw anything like that in my life and I would love to know what it was. |
