It light up the sky to near daylight for a second or 2 before I saw it. I was driving at the time.

Remarks
It came over the top of my car and fizzled out with some flickering. There was a smoke trail that went from where I first saw it to about 10 feet off the tree tops (50 to 60 feet tall) by the time I got home several minutes later there was no sign of smoke in the sky. It was traveling north to south.
