A very bright emerald-like vibrant green light coming straight down and going behind a mountain range. I didn't see it hit the ground. I am driving and was heading straight and it was so bright that it caught my attention in the dark sky. I think there was a flash that drew my attention to it in the beginning and then watched it fall but I did not see a flash as if it hit since it went behind a mountain range in the distance.

Remarks
Similar to the smoke train of a firework when it's first launched. It didn't seem exactly straight but remember it in very vivid detail since it only lasts for a few seconds. The incredibly bright green light must have illuminated the smoke. The sky was dark and once the light was gone I couldn't see the trail anymore.
