Reports Report 6615a (Event 6615-2024)

Observer
Name John E
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I do believe this is a manmade object entering the atmosphere. I saw distinct signs of copper burning a bluish green hue and iron/steel shooting sparks to the sides. The flash at the end was so bright another observer facing away saw the flash and streak reflecting off buildings and was astounded although he did not witness the fireball. I was in the army and saw star cluster flares and artillery. This was very bright compared to any natural phenomenon I have ever seen recorded. It was similar to a rocket flare but going down instead of up and was the incorrect colors. It also was a much higher altitude than most ground launched devices. I suspect that this was a satellite falling over southern Franklin county Ohio. Contact me if you want more descriptions. My time is approximate
