| Remarks | This was unusually large and bright. I initially thought it was a huge firework because it was so bright and seemed to "spark" with some color as it flew, but the tail was very distinct and was an elongated triangle of radiant green, not just your typical faint streak. The object was also very pronounced, not a small dot but a clear sphere of light, with the tail following. The length of the tail seemed to be about 30x the diameter of the fireball. It looked like it fell from the NNE to the SSW. I'm retired Navy and have a good sense of cardinal direction. |
