Reports Report 6948t (Event 6948-2024)

Observer
Name Sienna M
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I have observed asteroids in the past and this was by far the brightest and longest that I have ever witnessed, which is surprising given the light pollution in London. I was stood on the end of the platform at queens Road Peckham looking towards Canary Wharf. It started high up and had a very long orangey tail, finishing in an easterly direction with a bright flash. To its right was the full moon which was very bright, but paled in comparison to the fireball.
