| Remarks | Reference to report #362600 by Paula H. I think this is the same event! The most remarkable thing about this was the glowing fireball. It was cobalt blue like burning copper in a fireplace and had a long tail that was bright white and fragmented at the end, like a sparkler dropping sparks. I could see the fiery edges of all of it, including white flames surrounding the cobalt blue center. It was the most incredible meteor I've ever seen and I've seen many, but this is my first fireball. My first reaction to seeing is was to immediately describe it as a fireball. I've seen close and slow moving shooting stars but this one on the 5th was unlike any I've ever seen. |
