Remarks |
I was sitting in my sunroom at a 180 degree angle looking in the direction of the marsh. It was very dark outside. All of a sudden, I saw a very clearly visible white light coming rapidly from my upper right, which means it was descending directionally toward 150 degrees. It was definitely bright and visible. It would have gone down in the marsh behind our house or in Copahee Sound, next to the marsh. At first, I thought a plane had gone down as during the daytime, there is an airfield about three miles away and planes sometimes fly out over the water. But this was going pretty fast and there was no explosion. My next quick thought was that it was a bottle rocket (fireworks) but the likelihood of fireworks being shot in mid-March around here is extremely low. Be aware that I think my text description is better than my description in your tool. I don’t recall seeing a place for the direction that the meteor was headed (roughly 150 degrees). And when you asked about the brightness, it wasn’t clear whether you were asking how bright was it outside or how bright the meteor was. It was pretty dark outside and the meteor was pretty bright. Thanks for this opportunity. That was interesting! |
