This was the second really good sighting seen from this location within 36 hours. I also reported the one I seen the night before and included photos. They were from the same spot in the sky. I’ve seen hundreds of meteors but never two like this where they were this bright and detailed. Having said all that, this was a gorgeous sight to see. I just by chance was watching the same area of the sky when this one occurred. As I was looking right in that area, a light appeared that grew to the size of about my thumb nail at arms length. From nothing to that size in about 2 seconds. While growing it was moving due west staying exactly parallel with the horizon at about 25° off the ground. It’s speed was actually increasing while the ball was growing but I’m not sure if that was an illusion due to the size increasing. Its speed was faster than what a typical airplane would be observed at 10,000 feet. It was moving faster than that and faster than what satellites look like. I’m trying to describe the speed from my point of view ( I’m not saying it was actually traveling at any speed… just trying to describe the speed compared to objects I’ve seen from the ground. Ok, so the ball of light grew then reached a maximum size and brightness and then broke into smaller balls. I’d say between 3-6 but I didn’t count them at the time it was happening (and should have). Those smaller fragments were also bright white like a welding torch but they began to emit a very deep blue light as well. The trains lasted another few seconds never losing any altitude or speed from my perspective. That surprised me as I thought they would fall downward but they never did. The stayed true and parallel to the horizon until they disappeared. It was very quiet so I sat there and carefully listened for another 30 seconds for any sonic boom. I heard nothing. I did notice against the dark sky what looked like a smoke trail in its wake. It definitely left some sort of trail or debris/smoke that I could see for another z2 minutes or so before just disappearing gradually.
