All of the cars driving on the northbound I-15 freeway MUST have also seen it. It was so obvious. SOOO AWESOME! It seemed to burst through the sky like it busted through a dark curtain or cloud although I later saw that there were not any clouds in that direction at that time. I fully expected it to explode on the ground but trees/houses obscured my view as it approached the horizon itself.
It seemed quite a ways away like somewhere over northern Utah maybe in the Ogden Utah area. I suppose it could have been even farther north. But it was pretty big and looked fairly close….bit not like within 15 miles of me. It was more on the horizon.
