Remarks I was a passenger in a car going West bound. The meteor was so bright it lit the whole sky. I immediately looked over my right shoulder to see the last half of it's entry. It fragmented into a spray of sparks as it flamed out to what was closer the the ground than what is usual. I have never seen anything like it in my 65 years. If I hadn't been in a Pickup, I may have heard a shock wave. I'm not sure if there was one.
