Remarks Driving on Rt 44 E headed north a few miles south of Elgin OK. The car may have been oriented north or possibly north east. The fireball was a sustained 2-3 second bluish green streak which fragmented into a few smaller pieces as it fell. It was the brightest object in sky and grew brighter before vanishing in a flash.
