I was traveling SE on Pawling Avenue at 8:05 PM EST. when I observed what at first I believed to be a fast traveling airplane above the Horizon. When I realized the brightness and the distance traveled was way too fast for any aircraft. I texted myself on my iPhone immediately... As a receipt of my observation. Very cool! A few years ago, at night - I witnessed a bright green flare- much larger and brighter heading in the complete opposite direction. And more than 10 years ago!!! I witnessed a brilliantly multi- colored absolutely amazing!!! Comet! HUGE with a dark trail on the morning of a minor (tremor-earth quake) in NY - I went outside where normally the birds were chirping loud - but due to the tremor- it was complete silence! When it caught my eye- for a second- I was stunned and amazed! A tremor- and comet! Love this site for having ability to log these types of occurrences. These experiences keep my eyes in the sky!
