| Remarks | It was unbelievable. I didn't think it could be a fireball because it was so white and slow, but it was straight and left a trail. I hoped I wasn't seeing a satellite disintegrate. The three (Perseids) I had seen over the previous half hour or more had been short and fast. I took a pic of Jupiter and Venus at about 5:22, and this happened several minutes before that, or even 5-10 minutes earlier. Amazing and unforgettable. |

| Concurrent Sound | |

| Observation | No |
| Remarks | - |
| Delayed Sound | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | I tried to listen for a boom but had difficulty distinguishing the sounds I was hearing. The sounds were quite delayed and not a boom, more like a rumble or a "shhhh" that could have been passing vehicles or overhead jets. |
| Persistent train | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Duration | 1s |
| Length | 5° |
| Remarks | The train was white and tapered off in brightness, like a tail, but very straight, and as I remember, it would dissipate as it went along. It might have lingered longer but I didn't notice because at the end I was trying to run to the other side of a tree. In my mind I did a slow count to 47 but probably faster than seconds. (Counting a slow "one-and" rather than a fast "one-one-thousand.") |
| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | It had been steady, then seemed to "sputter" or flash near the end. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Right at the end, it seemed to leave one or more bright spots in the trail, and then I thought I saw a small piece continue straight while a brighter piece separated and arced down, then three or four pieces were splitting off, but then it went behind a tree. |
