I was looking away but a shadow from the light caught our eyes (wife was with me) and made us turn and look. We had already observed another meteor in the same area 5 min before but this was quite a bit bigger and clearly broke apart. We walk our dogs every night at 10 so we are very familiar with our local night sky and no airports are in that direction or fireworks.
