| Remarks | I've seen fireballs before, but this seemed qualitatively different; this actually looked very much like a firework being launched in appearance, slightly faster than that in speed, with green tint to the core and orangish sparks trailing off. The problem is there were no other fireworks, and the near vertical downward trajectory seems quite impossible for anything not originating from above. As for brightness, the park I was in is lit by LED floodlights and this passed almost directly behind the lights of one of them; it was visible through the entire path despite the incredibly bright light source between me and it. I unfortunately did not note time and that is very approximate, sometime between 10pm and midnight local time. |
