| Remarks | I was a passenger in the front seat of our car, traveling on the Sam Houston Tollway towards US Hwy 59 S. I looked up to my left between the driver and the steering wheel. I saw a large ball of very bright white light falling almost straight down (moving only slightly in the direction we were traveling). There was a trail of sparkling white particles following it. I believe they were tiny bits of the fireball burning on descent. The fireball was close to the horizon when I looked up and saw it. It was only in my sight for a few seconds. It was amazing. To me, it looked like it was several miles away, perhaps past Sienna Plantation. |

| Remarks | It looked like a trail of sparkles behind it (much like the effect you got with one of those kids toys that created sparks by grinding a flintstone against steel). |
