Reports Report 4988d (Event 4988-2025)

Observer
Name Erica J
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Very bright blue-white fireball, fast, lasting under ~2 seconds. Silent during approach. At the very end, when it fizzled out, I heard a soft fizzling sound like a faint firework. It appeared low (20–30 ft to the naked eye), but I understand it was actually much higher. I have video from two cameras—one captured the fireball directly, the other only the bright flash, I did see where to upload the second video. My timestamp is 12:51 AM PDT (8/14/25). Likely corresponds with AMS Event 4988-202 5 or the Roseburg 1:00 AM sighting.
