I've normally only seen shooting stars when out in more rural areas like at a farm or while camping. and they are typically bright streaks. This sighting was well within the city of Pittsburgh very near Downtown and so there was a lot of light scatter from the city. For this to have been this bright and clear in those conditions made it very noteworthy to me.
