Reports Report 5299i (Event 5299-2025)

Experience Level 2/5
Remarks This is my 2nd time seeing a meteor. First time was about 3 yrs ago in the north east sky 4:30 and 5:30 am (I took my dog out to go to pee). Sundays sighting I was driving home heading south/southeast on Woodward Avenue (might be facing southeast and white meteor may have been slightly more eastern), Royal Oak, Michigan. In the fall of/winter 2016/2017 I did hear a huge boom while in a store parking lot and thought I just a horrific accident and 10 minutes later, near heard emergency vehicles and I drove around looking for an accident, and while doing that my son called me from his dorm room at MSU, East Lansing, saying he heard a super loud boom and his girlfriend who was home in Huntington Woods, Michigan, heard the boom to and was home alone. They were both surprised that they both heard it and wondered if I heard… they were shocked that I also heard the boom! I’m sorry that I ran on with all of this. Hoping to read about your findings. Thank you.
