Reports Report 6172i (Event 6172-2025)

Observer
Name Julie M
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks As it approached from the west, I saw a bright, reddish-orange, wide tail. As it went overhead, this tail appeared to stretch to approximately 50°-60° (more than my two outstretched hands.) As it headed toward the eastern horizon, the tail appeared to shorten, and dim from my vantage point. Perhaps behind clouds in the east, it faded from my view 20°-25° above the eastern horizon. It moved so fast I barely got my phone out to snap one quick photo as it was almost gone. (iPhone XR)
