There's some significant landmarks that may be of reference regarding degrees from the ground. I don't have them on me but there's a decommissioned Airport beacon for the municipal airport at Ukiah with runway being 03 / 15. Above the beacon is where I first saw the object... I look at that beacon every chance I get.

Tail began at a few seconds after the object was observed and got longer and longer, almost as a fighter jet would be in afterburn; (orange/ yellow (but not as bright. Fragmentation began to break off more rapidly in flight at apex and along the objects glide path following the object's increasing tail. This began to look more bright as in the color of white. ( Not like Starlink!)
