It appeared straight over my head just as I was stepping around the front of my car. It was bigger and brighter than any of the planets I've seen with unaided eyes. I stood still and kept my eyes on it as it flew west over the houses and mountains and disappeared. The whole thing was over in five seconds, but it's burned in my memory like it was five minutes.
