| Remarks | I was watching planes land on break from work (address provided). A Delta plane had just landed on 12 R when I saw the meteorite (behind the plane). A second plane was approaching 12L and aborted its landing, it did a flyby. Not sure if was related, but it will be easier to pinpoint the timing. Not sure of the exact timing, but it was around 7:30 am and appeared to be over the airfield. From my vantage point, it appeared directly over the radar just beyond the FedEx facility. The sun was rising, it was a bright red horizon, but the flash was enough to hurt my eyes. The illumination was wider than most I've seen, which is why I believe it was so close. Two green-light blue hazy streaks from a single bright streak. Very cool. |
