Remarks I witnessed the initial explosion, it disappeared then reappeared much smaller on a steady route across the sky with a whitish tail that expanded on both sides behind it. This didn’t change as the object continued across the sky until I could no longer see it.

Remarks I witnessed a large bright object with a tail suddenly exploded, disappeared for 2 seconds, then reappeared much smaller, steady on a east to west trajectory, with a white / light yellow tail expanding behind it on both sides. It kept going across the sky for over 4 minutes until it dropped out of my sight but was still going.
