It first came down as one big fireball.I wasn't sure if it was a plane or what i've never seen one before.But this was very close then.As it was getting closer to the ground, it started breaking apart.And I know the biggest part definitely flew over the trees and landed in the water.I'm about one mile away from the water long Island sound. But debris kept falling off of it.

The fragments that I saw only started to come apart once. It was really close to the ground. Started off as one big piece that big piece starter falling apart even more. But the largest part stayed together. I know it made impacts somewhere but it had to be in the water. I did not witness it due to trees and I am a mile away from the water the long island sound.
