Location: Route 53, Elwood, Will County, Illinois (object landed just off the west side of the road; traveling northbound)

Direction of travel: Unknown exact compass headings — I was traveling northbound on Route 53 and the object crossed my field of view, coming down at an angle and appearing to impact just off the west side of the road.
Duration: ~1–3 seconds (very brief streak)
Apparent size: pea-sized (from my vantage point)
Color: bright green (teal/green)
Sound: No audible sound (I was moving in a car at ~60 mph)
Additional notes: Landed immediately off the west edge of Route 53, near Elwood. I did not get a close look after impact; I did not touch anything. |
