Looked like a very very large ovalish shaped shooting star going almost directly down. It got brighter as it got closer to the horizon and then went off in a flash. I saw a much smaller fragment shoot off to the bottom/left of the bright flash right before it all disappeared.

I saw a much smaller fragment shoot off to the bottom/left of the bright flash right before it all disappeared. It was small and arced off to the left of the flash. It disappeared very quickly.
