| Remarks | I was driving north of Manchester, Iowa on Hwy 13 on my way to Edgewood when I saw the 'flash" that looked like heat lightening. I was going to a visitation at a funeral home and a number of us there saw the event as we were driving north. I talked with perhaps 8 people there that said they saw it. Because I was driving in the country, putting my location of the event is difficult. I believe I was driving by 1238 STATE HWY 13. Strawberry Point, Hahn's farm, but giving that address, given the rural address system, does not give a clear picture of where I was as your system would take you to Strawberry Point and I was 6 miles SE of there. There was cloud cover so other than the flash, the clouds obscured any other observations. |
