| Remarks | The meteor had a long red and white tail, the front half was red and the rear half was white. It appeared to me to be travelling NW and was only visible for about 3 seconds before it extinguished. There was no change in the appearance of the tail of the meteor. It appeared to be gradually descending and suddenly disappeared. Visibility conditions perfect, as seen from a rural road within an area of dark countryside against a dark starry night. It was such a good meteor that I thought it worth reporting. |
