Remarks I reported a horizontal trajectory of a fireball sighting a few years ago that was pure white and I never thought I would witness any such astronomical event again! Tonight I was sitting in my car overlooking the Point Pleasant / Manasquan Inlet in NJ - looking toward the Manasquan side when I caught this green zoom flash coming down at about a 35 degree angle; it lasted maybe one second & I wasn’t sure what I saw! But I certainly saw something here! I’d like to also note that the current night sky is quite clear and the light pollution is minimal (since my position is just few hundred from the ocean). Anyway, I thought I’d report this sighting just in case anyone else also happened to spot it! For what it’s worth- it’s about 28 degrees with a wind chill of 13 degrees so I doubt there are too many folks out for an evening stroll :-) Either way - it was a cool night time HAPPY NEW YEAR spark to 2026!
