| Remarks | It seemed like it was quite large, I have seen some small meteors during meteor showers, but this was very bright and long lasting in comparison to anything I have ever seen. The light had length to it ( it was more of a streak - not a dot like a star) and there were several bright flashes as it moved across the sky. I can't give a precise address where I saw it since I was driving at the time. I was about 2 miles south of Janesville, Ia. on highway 218 northbound. |

| Remarks | It had several very bright flashes, as well as the continual bright light. At first I thought it could be a plane on fire. Then it was gone. It did not appear to hit the ground. |
