| Remarks | I've only seen one other meteor this color or brightness in my lifetime. That meteor came down 3000 miles away on the east coast. I live 35 miles from the pacific ocean. This one was was much closer. And I presume smaller. It lit up like a match. Size- a dime held at arms length would have covered the fireball, but not the tail. The tail was probably the length of a ruler at arms length, but it could have extended below the tree line. We had some low fog but could see the stars above. |
