| Remarks | I didn't see the smoke trail except for towards the end of the meteor's event - only the last 1/4 of the length of the meteor's visible path. It started off somewhat like an airplane light or UFO and immediately brightened to a very bright yellow, white light. It seemed to get brighter and turned white/blue-white for a while. For the last 1/4 of the path, it started to turn a bright orange as it broke into what seemed to be at least 4 or 5 main fragments and then disappeared. It was by far the most significant "falling star" I have ever seen in my 40 years. |
