Reports Report 754x (Event 754-2026)

Observer
Name Dominic N
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I have seen significant meteors during meteor showers... this was large, directly overhead (I was driving in a 10 mph/essentially idle zone with medium/medium-low light pollution, not stargazing) and saw it for a second and then 3-ish noticeable flashes. The object was about as bright as a 3/4 gibbous moon.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It was like a lightening strike, I saw the bright light, as I pulled past the gate of my neighborhood, and very quickly the sky flashed 2, 3 or 4 times... it all happened within one or two seconds.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks I was driving past my neighborhood gate, and I saw it fly right over me in the direction I was going (east), there was, I believe (I saw this thing for a few seconds....) a fracture in the middle of it, but it wasn't perfectly centered or a straight line. A gash of sorts.
