Remarks Fireball sighting report: On February 6, 2026 at approximately 8:55 PM CST, I observed a bright meteor from Alvin, Texas. I was indoors looking south through a large glass bedroom window. Sky conditions were clear and dark (rural/suburban area with minimal light pollution). The object appeared in the mid-sky and moved generally downward from east to west. It was blue and white in color, and was super bright- brighter than airplane lights, and maintained consistent brightness throughout its visible path. I almost thought a I was seeing an airplane on fire at first because of the brightness. The event lasted about four seconds. I did not remember if I observed a trail but didnt see any fragmentation. It disappeared suddenly. No sound was heard but I was inside.
