Reports Report 927e (Event 927-2026)

Observer
Name Michael M
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I was driving south on Highway 19, about 7 miles south of Redwood Falls, MN around 1:45 AM. It just appeared out of nowhere really bright like a yellowish colored fireball that just appeared for around 2 seconds, maybe 3 seconds, and had a trail behind it that was like a light, translucent tail following that was gone as quick as it came into view. It would have been traveling roughly east, or in am eastern direction, over a corn/soybean field. I was traveling south on HWY 19, and it was to my left, traveling from my right to my left, heading straight with a slight curve to ITS left, in an almost slight north east direction.

Remarks It was just a very quick fading glow following behind. Once the main object was no longer visible, the train looked almost as if someone turned a light switch off and the train turned off and like a light bulb, it glows a quick second before completely going to black. It was also so quick and unexpected and scared me since I was driving home and not expecting it, and I had never seen anything like it before.
