Whilst I have no experience I regularly look up at the night sky whilst walking my dog & am sure this was a meteorite or space debris of some sort relatively low in the atmosphere. It was a bright white colour and moved very quickly to the North from my position (towards North Baddesly/Winchester)

Very bright white light going in straight line across the sky with a smaller piece of white light that appeared to break off just before it all went out (it didn’t drop below the horizon)
