Direction was straight across in front of us a we came to cross blithfield reservoir driving (hence didn't hear if there was sound with it). It was bright blue white and lasted several seconds glowing across before fading out of sight in front of us. Didn't have any obvious trajectory downwards but I guess that could happen after it faded?
