I checked out our windows after our house shook and I heard the loud thunder sound..I was looking for fire from some sort of explosion. It was an extremely dark night and I saw nothing. About 10 minutes later my niece reported on Facebook that her boyfriend saw a green fireball fly out of the sky and land in the field by them. They were having a family Christmas in West Liberty, Iowa. I then told her about our house shaking and the boom I heard and said that it was probably the remains of Comet ISON hitting Earth. The next morning when I checked Facebook our neighbor said they were going meteor hunting as her husband had seen the bright light and afterwards they heard the boom and felt their house shake. We have about two feet of snow so if anything did fall I doubt anything would be found until spring.
