I’m quite sure this was a bolide. It was larger, brighter and much closer than any meteor I have ever observed.

A bright white flash and immediate flickering flashes that looked like sheet lightning. Clouds over the Salish Sea were backlit. I was expecting a delayed loud explosion sound but did not hear one.
