Reports Report 1467gz (Event 1467-2026)

Observer
Name Jean-Luc V
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I observed an extremely bright object crossing the sky at very high speed. The phenomenon appeared to be moving toward the north of the Aachen area, at a distance I would very roughly estimate at around 50 km. The object had an intense luminous trail, with yellow-orange to reddish colors. I also perceived 2 to 3 apparent explosions or fragmentations during its flight. Its apparent speed was extremely high, so much so that I did not have time to take out my smartphone to record it. After the object passed, a persistent smoke/vapor trail remained visible in the sky for up to about one minute.
