I thought it was a ballistic missle at first way too large to be some sort of firework but had a ballistic path so definitely not a plane or helo. Very bright and seemed to dive straight to the city metro area. I checked the police scanner nothing crazy happening so I concluded it had to be some sort of astrological event and this appears to match the description better than anything else.
