I was with my dog out in the yard before going to bed, standing to the right of the hot tub as the dog went towards the fence. I believe around 12:01 and 12:02am, slightly to my right and up in the trees a bright light source quickly appeared. a tiny but searing bright white dot with a massive copper-emmission or similar glow was soaring almost straight downwards. this lasted for about two seconds. I did not notice any flickering brightness levels, fiery tail, or fragmentation. there may have been a faint V-shaped tail of light behind it. It kept it's speed almost perfectly and kept glowing even as it disappeared behind the neighbor's house and the forest, suddenly turning off. I did not notice a flash and I did not stick around to hear it, because it looked like a very energetic event and I thought it was going to break the windows. There may have been a sound (not transient/pop), but I had gone to the basement and could not rule out other sources. I am pretty confident in the direction this happened. I'm not as confident in the exact details of what it looked like, as it was seen through trees and I was more focused on there being a huge green light in the first place. I've been trying to recover footage of at least the glow cast onto the yard. |
