Reports Report 1707bl (Event 1707-2026)

Observer
Name Chasity R
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks It was much bigger than any "shooting star" I've ever seen before and much much closer to the ground. If a shooting star is a fine line, that was a fire hose in thickness. It was brief and very bright and truly the colors of fire (red and orange). I don't mean to sound dramatic, but you know the diagrams and silly images people do of the dinosaurs when their meteor hit? Like that shape and color? It was like that but obviously on a much smaller scale haha. It's the coolest thing I've ever seen and I'm so happy I got to see it. I wish I could know you and I hope someone got an image. If it helps, a low lying plane was flying around less than 2 minutes later. We're also right by Fort Bragg, so maybe they'll have some images they can share with you.
