| Remarks | It lasted about 4-5 seconds, initially it was this big bright flash of light streaking across the horizon while driving. It had a tail and tip and it was shades of red, green tip, white and yellow. The first second it was confusing what i was even looking at and extremely bright similar to looking at the sun but an even more intense quick flash as it happened, it kinda looked like a bright light of white/silver metallic. Then realized it was a fireball for about 4 second before it was out of sight. There was a variety of colors as i mentioned above. I saw it while sitting in the passenger seat driving north on highway 61. My dad was driving and my sister sitting in the backseat. We all were very excited to have witnessed that, none of us had ever seen anything like it before and I grew up star gazing, watching meteor showers. I hope to see another fireball like that, it was truly thrilling. |
